Whether you have a few hours, a few weeks, or a whole semester to give, your time and energy help NUBIA grow. Volunteering or interning with us is a hands-on way to support urban agriculture, connect with our community, and learn about the people and purpose behind our work.
As a nonprofit, NUBIA relies on the time of community members like you. Depending on the season, volunteer tasks can include anything from garden cleanups to harvesting. We welcome commitments of any length, whether it’s a few hours, a few days, or a few months. Every bit of help makes a meaningful difference.

NUBIA offers part-time and full-time internships, as well as service hours for undergraduates who need consistent volunteer hours for their coursework. These positions are ideal for students and individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in urban agriculture, community health, marketing, or social work.
• Community Development Intern: Help grow NUBIA’s visibility and engagement by developing and managing online platforms, creating social media content, and conducting community surveys.
• Educational Development Intern: Support our educational efforts by creating digital learning materials, including videos, PDFs, and curricula for virtual classes, as well as assisting with in-person courses.
If you are interested in interning with NUBIA submit your cover letter and resume along with any additional university paperwork to Beth Beagan at bbeagan20@gmail.com and a.sayed@nubianet.net and we will get back to you shortly.
See how our volunteers and interns help bring NUBIA’s mission to life every day.
