NUBIA’s Seed & Yield program is working with The Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center (The Roxbury Mosque) to have the lot off King Street (below the King Street Play Area at Roxbury st. and King st) turned into a formal garden for use by the greater community. The plans include a sitting area, ornamental gardens, and a water feature, and it would be serviced by the ISBCC cafe. Preliminary funding has been secured for the project, and it is finally time to start our work on this overgrown, spacious tract of land. The potential for this space is HUGE, and we need help in order to make this dream a reality. On Saturday, May 9th, volunteers will be gathering to clear the area and begin work. Come join us!
