Seed & Yield
The Name
The name Seed & Yield actually originates from the classic Arabic saying:

Guiding Principles
- Sincerity and Love are the bases of every success.
The quality of one’s work comes based on one’s love and sincerity to the work, and here at NUBIA Seed & Yield we passionately enjoy our work, and we work even harder remembering that our work goes to help to the greater community at the end of the day. - Sharing is Caring.
Back home in Nubia and generally in the Sudan, you don’t pass by a home without hearing “Welcome, come on in!” And if you are busy in a rush, you won’t go without having a drink or at the least a fresh pick from a tree.
Our Long-term Vision
We want the youth to learn, understand and work with their environment. From learning about the very basics of the plants and vegetables, the youth get to form a close connection with the environment and understand it very well. Through this close connection and feeling for the environment, we hope the youth grow to have a say in decisions being made around us and contribute to their environment.
Starting from our garden in Charlestown, we hope and are working to have a garden in every neighborhood in the city of Boston.
Societal Impact
In addition to having the youth educated through workshops, projects and hands-on work, we take the products, and provide them to the community in which the garden is established. Through this, we want to form connections with our neighborhoods, and hopefully get us all to understand the beautiful values behind this basic profession.
